Trailmate, Conniosseur Series Gas Grill
Marine Kettle 2 Combination Stove & Gas Grill, Original Size
Combining a traditional gas grill with a patented plate and dome system, the Magma Marine Kettle 2 is the only boat grill that functions as a grill, stove, and oven all in one. The multifunction design makes the grill an ideal choice for boats without a galley, or for first mates who like to do their cooking outdoors.
The Magma Kettle 2 grill mounts to a fishing rod holder or rail for open water grilling. |
The Marine Kettle 2 grill is outfitted with a patented swiveling turbo Venturi tube, which allows you to adjust the control valve inboard, outboard, left, or right--wherever is most convenient for you. The design also allows you to quickly and safely change fuel canisters even while grilling. Plus, the turbo Venturi tube--in conjunction with the newly designed burner--virtually eliminates blowouts. Even the conditions won't interfere with your cooking prowess thanks to the hinged lid. Doubling as a windshield in rough weather, the hinged lid stays secure on your grill while your boat bobs. It's also well balanced, meaning it won't slam shut as the boat rolls. Topping off the lid is a polished, stainless "stay cool" handle with air-cooled supports.
Other features include a front-mounted piezo igniter, full double-lined inner safety shells to keep the grill exterior cooler, and a cast stainless L-bracket mount clamp indexed for positive nonslip level mounting. Built to run on standard, disposable 1-pound propane canisters or onboard LPG (propane) or CNG (natural gas) systems, the Marine Kettle 2 grill offers a variety of mounting options (mounts sold separately).

About Magma Products
Magma traces its history back to 1976, when California sailors and identical twins Jim and Jerry Mashburn grew frustrated trying to grill on their boats. After several porcelain metal grills quickly rusted out, the twins set out to make a stainless-steel grill that could withstand the hardships of a saltwater environment. More than 30 years later, Magma's familiar stainless-steel grills can be seen from Newport to New South Wales, from Cape Cod to Cape Horn, and from the South of France to San Francisco. The original charcoal grill is still available, but is now complemented with several round and rectangular propane models. Magma also sells mounting devices to accommodate all possible boating needs, tables to help with prepping and serving, umbrellas for shade, and anti-roll devices to steady the boat while you enjoy your favorite meal.
| 2 of 5 people found the following review helpful Watch out for rust, This review is from: Magma Marine Kettle 2 Combination Stove and Gas Grill (Original Size) (Sports) I have an older model and have used it very little. I recently took it back out of the box after buying two different boat mounts and a cover for it and found that the lid had heavy rust spots on it that wouldn't polish off. I thought that marine stainless steel wasn't supposed to rust. I called the factory and all they could offer was the recommendation that I buy their cleaner (with no guaranty that it would work) or buy a new one - not what I would call very good solutions. It works but looks bad - a poor advertisement for all who ask me about the grille. 3 of 8 people found the following review helpful Grill, By VIVI (NJ) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Magma Marine Kettle 2 Combination Stove and Gas Grill (Original Size) (Sports) Unfortunately, we haven't used this grill yet. I did purchase the mount for it but it doesn't fit in our rod holders. It looks like a great grill however and everyone I know who has one raves about it. Make sure you check the dimensions of your holder first. On line it looks like it would fit but our rod holders are a weird shape (Sea Ray). |

It fits the rod holder just right, is VERY easy to install and tighten, and I have no worries that it will hold it without a problem. It's very secure and stable. The large wingnut style tightener is super easy to use, and works very well. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Eh..., By VIVI (NJ) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Magma Kettle Grill Mount Power-Grip Rod Holder (Sports) Make sure this will fit in your rod holders.
